Rare Groove were communicative and friendly from the outset. We chose the band based on their fun setlist, which was a really cool mix of modern and older songs. The band were flexible and played two sets, which worked out really well. They were very professional and everything seemed to run smoothly on the wedding day. The laptop set before/between the live sets also worked perfectly and they did a great version of our first choice song for our first dance.
Despite the ridiculously hot weather (not always conducive to a lot of dancing), both of the band's sets had the dancefloor filled from the start! All of our guests, young and old, were up and dancing at one point or another and it was a real highlight to see everyone having a great time to Rare Groove's music. So many people came to find us to say how great the band was and how much they were enjoying the music. Although the sets were full of floor-fillers, the music was classy and not too cheesy, exactly as we'd hoped. We loved the funk/soul tinged sound and the band, from bass to vocals and everything in between, were all on top form!
We're already recommending the band to friends who are planning events. We think this was the most Sam (the groom) had ever danced and everyone there could tell what a fab time we had dancing the night away!

Rare Groove performed at our wedding in Suffolk. They were so fantastic! We couldn’t of asked for a better group to get our guests moving. We have had so many compliments since the big day saying how much they loved Rare Groove Not only were they brilliant musicians, they were really lovely & friendly.

Thank you for your brilliant performance at our wedding Reception at Rockingham Castle on the 6th of May. Your band truly made our evening reception a great success and a memorable one.
Amongst our guests were quite a few musicians and all of them agreed your band and their performance was outstanding. We could not have picked a better band. In fact I would say Rare Groove were by far the best band I have ever seen at a wedding party and many of our guest’s agreed. Your great repertoire of songs and polished performance had our guest’s on their feet all night.
